Hooray! This stuff is great! I can have protein smoothies again!
I first heard of this protein powder on Food Babe. Her site's great, you should check her out. Foods and products with one thing in the ingredient list get me really jazzed up.
The instructions say to add 2-4 tablespoons to a glass of milk. We added two tablespoons to this batch, and couldn't detect it, so it must not have that much flavor. It is a rather alarming shade of dark green, which I think all the dark berries in the smoothie masked.
Coconut Berry Protein Smoothies for two
2 cups frozen fruit
1 cup apple juice
1 can coconut milk (14.5 ounces)
2 tablespoons Nutiva brand Hemp Protein Powder
Blend until smooth.
